FEMCO-PA facilities in Punxsutawney, PA reached a significant milestone by recording 1,000,000-man hours, over a period of 1,495 days without a lost-time accident.
Joel Kyser, Vice President of Operations of the FEMCO facilities in Punxsutawney said, “Our entire workforce is to be commended for doing such an outstanding job of working together while adhering to our safety standards. “This is absolutely a team effort as everyone that works out of our facility played a key role in achieving this milestone,” said Jeff Curtis, Maintenance and Safety Supervisor.
FEMCO has a continuously evolving safety program that includes all employees and it is always looking for suggestions and ideas to make the program a success. Safety is communicated to everyone in many ways, including: weekly Toolbox Talks emails, monthly Safety Committee meetings, and Safety Training sessions throughout the year, covering safety related topics employees deal with every day in their work and home environments. Through these programs, FEMCO demonstrates their commitment towards safety.
