Femco maintains a 25,000 sq/ft warehouse stocked with OEM Harris parts and aftermarket parts for most other makes and models. For hard to get or obsolete parts, Femco can reverse engineer and manufacture these parts.

Shredder Rotor Repair Services

Femco Machine can offer the following rotor services:

  • On-site removal of worn rotors and feed rolls.
  • In-shop repairs of worn disc.
  • New shafts can be manufactured in-house.
  • Return the bearing fits of rotor shaft to specifications.
  • Installation of pillow block bearing and machining of the pillow block bearing mounts on shredder frame.
  • Installation of the rotor and feed roll onto shredder.
  • New rotor and feed rolls manufactured to industry standards.

Hinge Service Exchange Program

Femco Machine can offer repaired service exchange hinges for your balers and shears. This will greatly reduce the replacement cost and decrease the downtime of repairing your equipment. Femco has many makes and models of hinges available.

Baler and Shear Hydraulic Cylinder Repair

Femco Machine has the equipment and expertise to repair, rebuild, and test hydraulic cylinders of your processing equipment. This includes complete tear-down, inspection, and evaluation. Femco has the capabilities of reverse engineering and manufacturing long-lead-time parts to industry standards. Femco can hydraulically load test your cylinder to the actual working pressures. Femco Machine can also troubleshoot your hydraulic system problems and remove and install the hydraulic cylinders, piping, and pumps.


New Equipment Installation

Femco Machine has the expertise to professionally install your new equipment on your foundation. We will handle the installation and start-up as per your specifications. Due to local codes and regulations, the owner is responsible for permits and electrical installation. Femco has successfully installed new shredders with downstream components, balers, and shears. Femco can also relocate your equipment from one yard to another.

Field Services

Femco Machine operates 20 customized mobile machine shop trucks manned by our industry respected skilled scrap yard equipment technicians. Femco can offer the following services:

  • Installation, startup, and equipment inspection and evaluation.
  • Line boring, optical alignment, drilling, tapping, portable milling, and key cutting.
  • Field repairs, rebuilds and emergency repair services for your processing equipment.

Mobile Shear Rebuild and Repair services

Femco Machine can rebuild or repair your mobile shear back to industry standards. This includes structural repairs, line boring on pin fits, new pins and bushings, hydraulic cylinder repairs, and field repair services.

Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Baler Services

Femco Machine has experience in repairing or rebuilding most makes and models of baling equipment used in the ferrous, non-ferrous, paper, and garbage industry. Femco can return your baler back to industry standards with the latest upgrades and modifications as per your requirements.

Crosshead Repairs

Femco Machine can return your shear crosshead to industry standards. This includes:

  • Complete rebuild including gib surface repair, follower hole repair, and all surfaces will be built-up and machined to OEM standards.
  • Knife seat area will be built-up and machined.

Scrap Yard Equipment Rebuilds

Working in conjunction with Femco Machine's field service group, we can provide you with complete rebuilds and relocation of your scrap yard equipment. This includes returning your equipment to industry standards, upgrades, and quality installation at your site.
